Sometimes a reduced clause is a good thing!

Reduced clauses are dependent clauses that have been shortened by dropping grammatical elements. People who speak and write in English find using reduced clauses shortens their messages for their listeners and readers.      

Reduced clauses may be derived from adverbial or adjectival clauses.
